How the reports work

Three things worth knowing before you compare weeks.

Thursday weeks

Each issue covers Thursday 00:00 UTC to the next Thursday 00:00 UTC, and goes out after 12:00 UTC on the Friday that follows. The first issue is the baseline for reported PvP, so its combat figures carry no week-on-week change.

Reported, not a census

Reported PvP mails and ISK destroyed come from the public killmail feed EO-Map reads, so they are not a count of every loss in the game. Sovereignty and faction warfare count the systems whose holder or occupier changed, as EO-Map recorded it: outcomes, not motives. Trade signals come from CCP's official market history.

Published numbers stay put

Each issue is built once into a frozen fact pack that is never rewritten. The chart and archive here read those packs, so every week shows the numbers it was published with, even after late killmails arrive.

Follow the fighting before the next issue

The Killboard keeps going between issues: the week's biggest battle and fleet, and the top pilots, corporations and alliances, rebuilt every 10 minutes. It opens on the map in a desktop-sized browser window.
