EVE Online kill replay and battle report generator
Kill Replay plays recent EVE Online killmails back on the map. Name a solar system and it turns the fight there into an animated battle report, an after-action report you watch rather than read: the sides, the ISK each one killed and lost, the capitals and titans as they fall, and a summary at the end. Name a pilot, a corporation or an alliance and it replays their own kills and losses as they fight from system to system. Pick your options, press Play, and watch it or record it. It is free, it runs in your browser, and there is nothing to install.
Seven days back, for now. Replays reach as far back as zKillboard's public API serves killmails, which is seven days. EO-Map now keeps its own record of who was on each kill, and the replay window will grow as that record builds up. Kill Replay needs a desktop-sized browser window; it is not part of the phone layout.
What you can replay
A battle in one system
Pick a solar system, or click one under Hot right now, and Kill Replay splits the window into fights and opens on the one with the most ISK destroyed. This is the battle report: sides, a ring around the star, a running ISK chart and callouts for the big moments. Right-click any star on the map and choose Replay Fights Here for the same thing.
A fight across gates
Add up to five systems to one replay when a battle spilled across stargates. Every system's kills play on one clock, and the sides, the chart and the callouts cover all of them.
A pilot
Type an exact character name, or press Me when you are signed in with EVE. A pilot replay includes every kill the pilot was on, not only final blows, plus their losses, and the camera follows them from system to system.
A corporation or an alliance
Replay an organisation's fighting across the cluster. Every system it fought in rings green for kills, red for losses and amber for both, and the end card lists who it flew with and who it fought against.
A battle report that plays out on the map
A battle report usually lays a fight out as a table after the fact. Kill Replay plays the same killmails back in order, on the map where they happened, so the fight builds in front of you and the totals arrive with it.
Sides. Sides are worked out from the killmails alone. Alliances, or corporations without one, that shoot alongside each other and never at each other become one side, named after its biggest group with a count of the rest. Groups that kill each other's ships stay apart, even when they pile onto the same targets. Up to six sides are named and everyone else is Others.
ISK killed and ISK lost. The sides board shows each side's ISK killed and ISK lost on one scale, the killmails it was on, the ships and capitals it lost, and a floor for how many pilots it brought. A kill's value is shared between the sides on the mail in proportion to their pilots, so ISK killed is not a final-blow award.
The ring. Over a one-system battle a ring sits around the star and turns with the map. Each side has an arc that grows in when the side arrives and thickens with its fleet. Every kill fires a fleet line from the side that made it to the celestial where the ship died, a gate, a station, a planet, a moon, a belt or the sun, and capitals send out a shockwave. Gates sit on the map's own gate line to the system they lead to.
Callouts and the chart. Callouts name the big moments one at a time: the first capital, every supercarrier and titan, a new record for attackers on one killmail, a new side arriving and the fighting moving to another celestial. Each one is a tick on the scrub bar that you can click to jump to. A chart draws each side's ISK lost as the fight goes on.
The after-action summary. When the replay ends, an end card sums the fight up: the sides with their ISK killed and lost, and the biggest kills. Kills and side names open on zKillboard in a new tab, and so does any row in the kill feed.
Your own fights, or anyone else's
Point Kill Replay at a character and it follows them. The camera flies from system to system as they fight, a trail draws the shortest gate route between the systems they fought in (a killmail says where a pilot fought, never how they got there), kills flash green and losses red, and a chart draws ISK destroyed against ISK lost. A corporation or an alliance plays the same way across every system it fought in. The end card lists who they flew with and who they fought against, each a link to that group's kills and losses on zKillboard. Signed in with EVE, Me replays your own character in one click.
Watch it or record it
Choose a window (24 hours, 3 days or 7 days) and a length (30 seconds, 1 minute or 2 minutes), and Kill Replay paces the kills to fit: busy moments play at a readable speed, quiet stretches are compressed, and the clock says how much time was skipped. Follow, Orbit and Free set the camera, and a one-system battle opens on Free, framed to the system. Space pauses, R restarts, the arrow keys skip five seconds and Esc exits.
The recording view hides the map interface and leaves the replay's title, counters, sides, chart and feed with a small EO-Map mark, and the controls and pointer fade while the mouse is still, so a screen recorder such as Win+Alt+R or OBS captures a clean video. Or just sit back and watch it.
Music is optional. Turn it on in Options and Kill Replay plays 'Crusader' by Scott Buckley under the replay, timed so the piece ends as the replay does, fading in and out. It is released under CC BY 4.0, so its credit stays on screen while it plays: keep it in your video, or credit it in the description. Leave it off and put your own music over the recording instead.
Copy link makes a link to the exact replay, the subject, the window and the fight, so someone else can play the same thing. It keeps working for as long as zKillboard still serves that window.
Where the kills come from
Killmails come from zKillboard, fetched and trimmed by EO-Map's own killboard service, so your browser never contacts zKillboard. Your browser sends that service the id of the pilot, corporation, alliance or system you picked and the window, with no login and nothing about you. Names are resolved through EVE's public API. ISK values are zKillboard's estimates. Very busy subjects are capped at their newest kills, from 1,000 for a pilot to 5,000 for a single system, and the panel says from when a capped replay is complete. A battle leaves out kills made by NPCs alone.
Two things are worth knowing. zKillboard records the celestial nearest each wreck, not the exact spot, so the ring places kills by celestial, and in a big brawl most kills name the sun. And sides are an inference from who shot whom: a group that appears only once, or never shoots anyone, can end up in Others or on the wrong side.
The kills live in the page's memory only. Your last six subjects and whether music is on are remembered in this browser. The privacy page and the transparency report carry the full detail.

Part of EO-Map
Kill Replay is one tool on EO-Map's interactive 3D map of New Eden. The same map flashes live kills as they happen, paints where PvP has been concentrated, and reads a pasted Local against the public record, so a fight you just replayed and the space around it sit on one map.

Frequently asked questions
Can EO-Map make a battle report for a fight?
Yes. Pick the solar system in Kill Replay and it finds the fights there in the window you choose and opens on the biggest, as an animated battle report on the map: inferred sides, the ISK each one killed and lost, the capitals and titans as they die, and an after-action summary at the end. Add up to five systems when the fight spilled across gates.
How far back can Kill Replay go?
Seven days, for now. That is as far back as zKillboard's public API serves killmails. EO-Map now keeps its own record of who was on each kill, and the replay window will grow as that record builds up.
Can I replay my own kills?
Yes. Type your character's name, or sign in with EVE and press Me. A pilot replay includes every kill you were on, not only final blows, and your losses, and it follows you from system to system. Corporations and alliances work the same way.
How does it decide who was on which side?
From the killmails alone. Groups that shoot alongside each other and never at each other become one side, and groups that kill each other's ships stay apart. It is an inference, and Help explains it: a group that appears only once can end up in Others or on the wrong side.
Can I use the music in my video?
Yes. The optional track is 'Crusader' by Scott Buckley, released under CC BY 4.0. Its credit stays on screen while it plays; keep it in your video or credit it in the description. You can also leave the music off and add your own.
Is Kill Replay a killboard?
No. It plays killmails back on the map and links each one to zKillboard, which stays the record. The ISK figures are zKillboard's estimates, and a kill that was never submitted to zKillboard is not in the replay.
