EVE Online faction warfare map

EO-Map draws EVE Online faction warfare on a 3D map of New Eden: who occupies each warzone system, which systems are contested, and how close each contest is to flipping. Both warzones are on screen at once. It is free, browser-based, and needs no account.

What the faction warfare map shows

Warzone systems are marked in the colour of the militia occupying them. Contested systems are brighter than quiet ones, and the brightness rises with the pressure on the system, so a warzone under a real push looks different from a warzone at rest.

Two tabs

Overview

One card per empire militia: Caldari State, Gallente Federation, Amarr Empire and Minmatar Republic. Each card carries systems held, systems contested, enlisted pilots, and kills yesterday.

Wars

The war pairings in the current snapshot, listed once per pair rather than once per direction, so you can see who is actually fighting whom.

The Overview cards cover the four empire militias. Pirate factions get their own colours where they hold warzone space, so an Angel Cartel or Guristas Pirates system reads correctly on the map and in the system detail even though it has no card of its own.

Reading a contested system

Select a system and the panel gives you the four things that decide what happens next.

The map does not turn victory points into a straight line. Pressure is compressed, so early progress is visible and the last stretch does not swamp everything else. A system at a fifth of its threshold still stands out from one that nobody has touched.

Where the data comes from

Occupancy, contested state and victory points come from EVE Online's official public data feed, delivered to your browser as a snapshot rather than as a direct request from your machine to the game. The panel prints how old that snapshot is, and marks it stale when the feed falls behind. Militia pilot counts and kill totals come from the same public source on a slower cadence, and are marked separately when they are being served from cache.

The underlying map is the pinned official EVE Online Static Data Export, build 3464040, with 5,485 solar systems and 13,978 directed stargate connections. Warzone state is layered on top of that fixed geography.

How to open it

  1. Open EO-Map and open the Faction Warfare panel from Tools Library, or use the direct link below.
  2. Start on Overview. The four militia cards give you the shape of both warzones in one glance.
  3. Set Show to Contested to strip the map back to systems with a fight running.
  4. Click a militia card to isolate its systems, then click a star to read occupier, owner, state and victory points.
  5. Switch to Wars for the current war pairings.

Part of EO-Map

Faction warfare is one panel of EO-Map's interactive 3D map of New Eden, and it does not take the map away from you. Leave it on while you plan a route through lowsec and the militia colours stay under the path. Leave it on while the kill feed runs and you can see which contested system is drawing the fighting. One session, one map, several readings of the same space.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a free EVE Online faction warfare map?

Yes. EO-Map is a free, browser-based EVE Online faction warfare map. No account and no download. It shows militia occupancy and contested systems across both warzones on a 3D map of New Eden.

Can I see only the contested systems?

Yes. Set the Show filter to Contested and the map keeps only systems with a contest running. You can also click a militia card to isolate that militia's systems, and combine that with a click on any star to read its numbers.

How do I tell how close a system is to flipping?

Select the system and read the Victory line, which shows current victory points against the threshold the attackers need. On the map the same pressure sets how bright the mark is, and a contested system with real pressure behind it pulses.

Does it cover both warzones?

Yes, both at once. Caldari State against Gallente Federation and Amarr Empire against Minmatar Republic are drawn on the same map, and a selected system names the warzone it belongs to.

Are pirate militias included?

Where they hold warzone space, yes. Angel Cartel and Guristas Pirates systems are coloured with their own hues and read correctly in the system detail. The Overview cards themselves cover the four empire militias.

How current is the faction warfare data?

Occupancy and contested state come from EVE Online's official public data as a periodic snapshot, and the panel prints the age of the snapshot it is showing. Pilot counts and kill totals arrive on a slower cadence and are labelled separately.
