EVE Online killboard and PvP leaderboards on the map
The Killboard is EO-Map's own overview of player-versus-player fighting in EVE Online. It tells the story of the last day, week or month in one screen: the biggest battle and the biggest fleet, each with a button that plays it back on the map, the most expensive kill, leaderboards of the top pilots, corporations and alliances, and a profile for anyone who was on a kill or a loss. It is a leaderboard-style snapshot of the public killmail record, drawn on the map, not a replacement for zKillboard. It is free, it runs in your browser, and there is nothing to install.
A snapshot, by design. The front page and the leaderboards are rebuilt every 10 minutes (every 30 minutes for the 30-day view), so they are minutes behind the game, not live to the second. In return the Killboard is quick and stays quick however many people use it, and nobody's browser ever queries zKillboard. The Killboard needs a desktop-sized browser window; it is not part of the phone layout.
What is on it
The story of the week
The Overview opens with a one-line headline built from the data, the totals, and an hourly pulse of kills. Three cards name the biggest battle, the biggest fleet and the most expensive kill. Battles and fleets carry a Watch button that replays them on the map, in Kill Replay or Fleet Replay. Below sit the podiums, the alliance wars with where each pair fought most, the ship meta and the hot systems.
Leaderboards
The top 50 pilots, corporations and alliances, ranked by kills, ISK destroyed, solo kills, final blows or ISK lost, over the last 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. Every figure on the boards comes from the same snapshot as the Overview, so the numbers always agree with each other.
A profile for anyone
Click any name, or search for one, and the Killboard builds a profile on the spot: nemesis against favourite target, kills and losses day by day, a weekday and hour heatmap in UTC, the ships flown, hunted and lost, wingmen or top members and member corporations, the biggest kills and worst losses, a recent feed, and zKillboard's own all-time figures for comparison.
Hunting grounds on the map
Show on map paints where a pilot, corporation or alliance fights as heat rings on the star map: bigger and brighter where more happened, with a Kills or Losses lens and a caption that says whose rings they are and over which period. Hovering a ringed star gives the count there.
Find yourself
Most pilots are not in a top 50, so the search field finds any pilot, corporation or alliance that was on a player kill or loss in the last 30 days, with suggestions as you type. A name the index does not know can still be opened: press Enter and the Killboard checks the exact name through EVE's public API. Every profile shows an exact rank among everyone with that metric in the period, for example #1,284 of 33,491 pilots by kills; ISK ranks are worked out in bands and read "about". Signed in with EVE, the You button opens your own profile and the leaderboards show your position even when you are outside the top 50.
Why it is a snapshot
A killboard that runs a fresh query for every click does the same work again for every visitor, and most of those queries ask the same questions. The Killboard is built the other way round. EO-Map's server reads zKillboard's public killmail feed once, for every tool on the map, and renders the Overview and every leaderboard into one small file every 10 minutes; the 30-day view is a second file rendered every 30 minutes. Your browser downloads that file and everything you click on the front page and the boards is already there. The cost to EO-Map is the same whether ten people or ten thousand open it, and none of it puts load on zKillboard's servers.
Profiles are the one thing built on demand, because a nemesis or a wingman is rarely on a leaderboard. EO-Map's own kill lookup computes a profile for any pilot, corporation or alliance and the answer is cached for a few minutes (5 minutes for the 7-day view, 15 minutes for 30 days), so a page several people open is computed once. The search index covers everyone on a kill or loss in the last 30 days and refreshes every 30 minutes. The trade-off is honest: the Killboard is minutes behind the game. For the live feed, use Live kills; for the record of a single kill, follow its link to zKillboard.
How kills are counted
Every pilot credited on a killmail gets the kill and its whole value, the way zKillboard counts involvement, and a corporation or alliance gets a kill when at least one of its pilots is on it. Final blows and solo kills are separate columns. A few rules keep the boards from rewarding padding, and the same rules apply to the snapshot and to every profile:
- Capsules, rookie ships and shuttles are not counted as kills or losses. A capsule's ISK still counts toward ISK destroyed and ISK lost, because implants are real ISK.
- No credit for shooting your own side: a kill on a ship from your own corporation or alliance earns nothing.
- At most 3 kills on the same pilot count per period. The fourth and later earn nothing, ISK included.
- Deployables (abandoned Mobile Tractor Units, depots and the like) still count as kills, because they are kills. They just do not shoot back, so a profile or a leaderboard row built mostly on them is flagged.
- Player kills only. NPCs, CONCORD and structures firing earn nothing; a loss to NPCs still counts as a loss, so efficiency is honest.
Padding watch, at the bottom of the Overview, lists the kills the boards do not count or count with an asterisk: rookie-ship hunters, deployable sweepers, pilots who killed the same victim again and again, and blue on blue. A profile has a Not counted strip for the same things. The lists describe what was shot and what it earned, never motive.
Where the data comes from
The killmails are zKillboard's, from the public feed it publishes, read by EO-Map's own collector and kept with every attacker on every kill since 27 September 2026. The same copy feeds Live kills, Combat, Battles, Kill Replay and Fleet Replay, so the Overview, the leaderboards, search and profiles add no new load on zKillboard. The one exception is the All time section at the end of a profile, which asks zKillboard's statistics API through EO-Map's server, only when you scroll to it, with the answer cached. ISK values are zKillboard's estimates. A kill that was never submitted to zKillboard is not on the Killboard, and a quiet board is not proof of a quiet region. zKillboard stays the killboard of record: a kill in a feed, a biggest-kill card or a profile opens the full killmail there in a new tab, and every profile ends with zKillboard's all-time statistics for the same name, under zKillboard's rules rather than EO-Map's.
Your browser fetches the snapshot and, for a profile, sends EO-Map's own service the kind and id of the pilot, corporation or alliance and the period, with no login and nothing about you attached. Search text goes to the same service, and EO-Map does not log it. Portraits, logos and ship renders come from CCP's image server. The Killboard keeps nothing in your browser's storage. The privacy page and the transparency report carry the detail.
How to open it
- Click Killboard in the left rail, third from the top, or open Tools Library and pick Killboard on the Conflict tab, or use the link below.
- Pick 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. Read the Overview, or switch to Pilots, Corporations or Alliances and choose what to rank by.
- Click a name for its profile, or type one into the search field. Press Watch on a battle or a fleet to play it on the map, or Show on map on a profile to see where they fight.
Part of EO-Map
The Killboard is one tool on EO-Map's interactive 3D map of New Eden. The same map flashes live kills as they land, paints where PvP has been concentrated, replays a fight as a battle report (BR) and reads a pasted Local against the public record, so a pilot you found on a leaderboard, their hunting grounds and the space around them all sit on one map.
Related tools
- Kill replay, to watch a battle from the Overview as an animated battle report (BR).
- Live kills, for the kill feed as it happens.
- Combat, for where reported PvP has been concentrated.
- Intel, to read a pasted Local or a single pilot against the public record.
- Alliance rankings, for sovereignty-holding alliances, including a Fighting view.
- All EO-Map features.
Frequently asked questions
Is the EO-Map Killboard a replacement for zKillboard?
No. It is a leaderboard-style overview of the same public data, built from EO-Map's own copy of zKillboard's killmail feed and drawn on the map. zKillboard stays the killboard of record: every kill on the Killboard links to its page there, and each profile ends with zKillboard's own all-time figures.
How current is it?
Minutes behind the game, by design. The 24-hour and 7-day Overview and leaderboards are rebuilt every 10 minutes and the 30-day ones every 30 minutes, profiles are cached for 5 to 15 minutes, and the panel says when its snapshot was made. That is what makes it quick for everyone: one set of queries on EO-Map's server serves every visitor, and nobody's browser queries zKillboard.
I am not on a leaderboard. Can I still see my stats?
Yes. Everyone on a player kill or loss in the last 30 days has a profile. Type your name into the search field, or sign in with EVE and press You. The profile shows your exact rank among everyone with that metric in the period, not just the top 50, along with your nemesis, favourite target, ships, busiest hours and hunting grounds on the map.
Why do my capsule or rookie-ship kills not count?
Capsules, rookie ships and shuttles are left out of kill and loss counts so that popping pods and corvettes cannot pad a board; a capsule's ISK still counts, because implants are real ISK. Kills on your own corporation or alliance earn nothing, and only the first 3 kills on the same pilot in a period count. Deployables do count, but a record built mostly on them is flagged.
Can I get a battle report (BR) from the Killboard?
The Overview names the biggest battle in the window, with the sides, and its Watch button plays it on the map in Kill Replay as an animated battle report: sides, ISK killed and lost, the big moments and an end card. Replays reach back 7 days, so on the 30-day view a battle older than a week has no Watch button.
Does the Killboard work on a phone?
Not yet. The Killboard is a resizable desktop window with leaderboards, charts and map rings, and the phone layout does not host it. Open EO-Map in a desktop-sized browser window to use it.
